INTRODUCTION: Pakistan is the 6 th most populated country in the world with a population of 220 million people and 2 nd largest population of out of school children. The need for education is more prevalent than ever, around 2.2 million children from the ages of 5-16 are out of schools. TCF (the citizens foundation) is a non-profit organization working for the cause of education from 1995. This initiative gained a lot of success and was able to spread its wings from Karachi to the entire country now making it the largest privately-owned education network in Pakistan. TCF is a success because of its dedicated volunteer base, students volunteer during their free time throughout the year to help underprivileged kids receive a high standard of education and provide the children with the guidance that they need for their college and university level applications. Many schools are strategically built within the slums and at an approachable distance from where most students are living so that it is accessible to everyone. Staff hired is all female and there is a 50:50 ratio of girls and boys studying there to encourage parents to get their daughters educated as well.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
