Kathryn Spinks-Dear 12936197 25 th September 2019 Reading Report 4 Q1. Among the many feminist ideas, critiques and claims discussed by James, which do you find particularly attractive or interesting? Which do you find least interesting or attractive? Explain. Primarily I find that James’ discussion of the first wave to be very interesting as it depicts that of the first uniformed feminist movement that saw impacts across the globe. From education to women’s rights to vote, this wave was a stepping point for women’s equality. I find less attractive is her description of the third wave, this involved no major shift in global equality however was more about the introduction of feminist theory. Such as the idea of difference between men and women, something that I personally do not believe is progressive as by doing this feminist are using separation as a way of justifying women’s ability to make choices on equality. Q2. The relation between men and women is political, argues Millet. Explain using an example
