Madison High School Band Course Syllabus 2017-2018 Instructors: Mr. Flynn, Mr. Reynolds, and Ms. Gray [email protected] , [email protected] , [email protected] Courses (Meeting Time): Honor Band (Period 1 – 8:45-9:36) Symphonic Band I (Period 2 – 9:42-10:35) Symphonic II (Period 3 – 10:41-11:30) Concert Band (Period 4 – 11:36-12:25) Drumline (Period 5 – 12:31-1:20) JV Color Guard (Period 7 – 2:21-3:10) Varsity Color Guard (Period 8 – 3:16-4:05) *All classes held in the Band Hall in the Performing Arts Center I. Description Through rehearsal and performance of a variety of carefully selected wind band and chamber wind literature, students will increase their knowledge and experience base on their individual instruments and with their ensemble skills. The four different ensembles are open to all Madison High School students on an auditioned basis. Ensemble placement and repertoire/part assignments are determined by audition and faculty recommendations, and are intended to
