Grading Policies Jacob Schulte (25%) Class Participation – The students are expected to follow the classroom procedures and expectations every day. Individual progress must be shown throughout the year. (10%) Daily Grades – Students will be asked every day to play for 30 seconds during concert band. They may be asked to play anything from just a whole note to a short excerpt in their music. It is important to develop the skills of playing independently and it will allow me to assess the students abilities so that I will be able to improve their individual musicianship. (10%) Practice Sheets – Practicing is a key component to becoming a successful musician. Students will be given a practice sheet with a checklist of component skills to be completed throughout the week and turned in every Friday for a grade. (10%)Marching Band Pass offs – Students will be required to pass off on their fundamentals and marching band music throughout the summer band camp. This
