Fear Quote, from “The Answer” by Jennifer Krause, page 26: ‘The Zohar, a thirteenth century text from Spain that is part of a larger Jewish mystical tradition you may know as Kabbalah, explores fear. In that exploration, the mystics place fear into three separate categories. They consider one form “authentic’ because it inspires creativity and motion, while the other two are “imposters” whose only function is to impede progress. The mystics argue that the first imposter fear is being afraid that what you already have will disappear, which causes you to put all your effort into preserving the status quo and shielding your possessions.’ Recall the emptiness we learn in Buddhist philosophy. ‘I’ exist, yet ‘I’ don’t. There isn’t really the self, for everything is empty, and emptiness is everything. If we look at it in the right perspective, what we have is what others have, and so, you don’t really possess something, for there’s no ‘you’ and there isn’t ‘me’ either.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
