Melorheostosis is a rare skeletal disease that causes the bones to become thick and dense or wide on the outer layer, it affects not only bone, but soft tissue growth and development also. It is noncancerous but causes chronic pain; joint contractures, stiff muscles; and deformities of the arms, legs, hands, or feet. Symptoms of this disorder are unequal length of limbs, joint contractures, and deformity onset widely varies and is seen more in children; abnormal muscles, stiff, swollen, and sometimes painful joints. As the disease progresses the symptoms become worse over time and this is seen more in adults. Unfortunately, there is no known cause and it usually affects one arm and leg, on one side of the body, hardly ever are both sides affected. It is sporadic and not inherited. This disease also affects the pelvis, the sternum, the ribs, the spine, and the skull. It is mostly observed in early childhood and may even be present in the first days of life. Half of patients with this disease develop symptoms by the age of 20. The long-term effect of this
