Tran 1 According to the article “There’ll Be a Quiz on this Tomorrow” Kate Zernike, a writer of The New York Times points out some differences about the value of assigning homework for students. Homework was a symbol of our culture, but was limited by the school board in Piscataway, New York, and homework also decreased the standards in America. In 1930’s, the public health asserted homework affects children’s health. Then, the Soviet Union sent the first spaceship into orbit in 1957 and a report by the National Commission on Excellence in Education warned that homework is very important to help students study better and keep the nation safe. Moreover, some studies suggested that the more homework we did, the better grade we would receive, but The Third International Math and Science Study in 2015 showed the difference between Japanese eighth graders and American counterparts, which was Japanese eighth grade students far outperformed Americans, even though they were given less homework than American eighth graders.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
