Mariana Santos Cardoso Covos Task 3 – Monitor Operational Performance I am the warehouse business manager for the Greenwich English College. In order to implement operational plans, I need to monitor the performance of team members with respect to those plans. The outcomes of monitoring the performance are following: 1. lack of full training; 2. lack of professional development including coaching for each team member; 3. lack of performance management Coaching plan I have decided to run a coaching session with using a GROW model: Goals First, I am going to consult with a coaching company to establish existing performance goals: 1. Provide one-day full training on new material used for all team members during the next 2 weeks. 2. Provide five hours of professional development including coaching for each team member. 3. Carry out performance management processes for all team members twice per year. 4. Provide 2 hours of OHS consultation for all team members. Reality Second, I will establish the performance gap between the current and desired performance: 1. So far trainings for team members on new material used were conducted casually and inaccurately. 2. No training so far. 3. Performance management on half of staff. 4. One hour of OHS consultation to the end of second quarter. Options I will recommend for the coaching options for closing such performance gap. Together we will develop a strategy and I will encourage his participation by: asking open-ended questions; discussing pros and cons of each idea and examining possible options; anticipating potential pitfalls and roadblocks.
