Abstract This paper is about inclusion of different expenses in cost of sales of the Polaris Company. It also discusses about the cost accounting policy and information given in the footnotes of Polaris Company. Executive summary Polaris is one of the successful manufacturing company which produces Off-road vehicles, snowmobiles, and On-road vehicles. Since it is a manufacturing company cost of sales is included in its income statement which helps in calculating the gross profit of the company. In the cost of sales of Polaris Company expect the direct labor cost, direct material cost and factory overhead the other expenses like shipping and handling expenses, warranty expenses, and depreciation expenses are also included. The cost of sales of Polaris Company at the year end 2018 was $4,577,340 which was higher than its previous year which was $4,103,826. Because the net sales of the company have also increased the gross profit has also increased than the previous year. From this we can find that the cost accounting policy of the Polaris Company is well managed.
