MISSION TO SAMBURU REPORT TESTIMONY Samburu mission really become a blessing and encouraged my life to minister to the unsaved and unreached people. Being among those who went Samburu it really moved me to be more focused on the work of God. Just as Christ in the book of Acts promised the disciples that they should receive the power when the holy spirit has come upon them and they will become witness both in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and the whole world (Acts 1:8),should be our duty as believers and especially those who have been called to minister. Among the activities we did were morning devotion, VBS for children and youths, Evangelism and open air meetings. I did prayed for the sick in their homes and did some visitation church members. Challenges Language problem- most of the people have not gone to school so they cannot understand Kiswahili or English so we had to use translator. Travelling for a long distance- it took us a lot of time travelling from one Manyatta (house) to another Manyatta.

Unformatted text preview: These communities are pastoralist hence reaching them or meeting them is hard. People we found at home are old men, children and women while young and energetic men (moran) are away herding their livestock in the forest far away from home. There are few churches established in Samburu land compared to where I come from. Personally I observed that the field is ripe but the harvesters are few. Comments Samburu people are generous. They welcomed us warmly at their homes. They are very receptive to God’s word. Since the people have not been affected so much with contemporary issues hence it is an opportunity that they should be preached to so that Gods word can be firmly rooted in them. There is need for training of more pastor so that they can out to their own people. Thanks be to God for servants who have been called to stand in the gap for the spread of the Gospel. God bless them wherever they may be. Amen. Janet Chepngetich Chepkwony Bth/02023/2018...

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
