QUALITY ASSURANCE VISITS CODE OF CONDUCT 2013/14 1. INTRODUCTION Quality assurance visits (previously known as ‘walk around’) are undertaken by commissioners to gain assurance about the quality and safety of services commissioned by the Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group. This document outlines the process for identifying providers where quality assurance visits should be undertaken, the areas to be reviewed, who to involve, the notice given to providers, reporting requirements and how resulting action plans should be monitored. There are several types of quality assurance visits, announced, unannounced and in response to specific risk or information as part of the overall monitoring process. This code of conduct pertains to all types of quality assurance visits. 2. QUALITY ASSURANCE FRAMEWORK As part of overall contract management, quality monitoring should enable key risks to be better managed and is central to continuous improvement. It aims to ensure that service users receive the highest quality and safety of service, which meets contractual standards and is continuously improving. The information from quality monitoring can both change and influence practice, from the specific care for an individual service user to the CCG’s commissioning decisions. 3. VISITING TEAM Dependent upon the type of visit or the reason for it, the visiting team will consist of the following: Members of the quality team Identified GPs Lay members of the CCG Commissioning/Contract Managers If the visit is in response to specific identified risk or information, the team will include members with specific expertise in the relevant area.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
