What is executive function and how does it influence student success in the classroom? Share two strategies that you will implement in your classroom to support students with executive function. An executive function is, “mental skills that help you get things done. These skills are controlled by an area of the brain called the frontal lobe” (Akshoomoff, 2018, pg.777). With executive function there are many strategies I can implement in my classroom to support students with executive function. One of these skills being clear instruction, with this students will understand fully what is being done and what they have to do. I can also implement the strategy of guided communication. This allows students to communicate with each other to help solve the problem. References Akshoomoff, N., Brown, T. T., Bakeman, R., & Hagler, D. J., Jr. (2018). As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
