Discussion Unit 5 Many corporate organizations and institutions are champions of employee-incentive programs. Human resource experts and managers are becoming increasingly driven by the idea that rewards and bonuses motivate employees to do their jobs better. Pay-for-performance and pay for seniority principles are generally good for any institution depending on whether the rewards help support corporate goals, such as increased profit and customer loyalty, or if they merely engender unhealthy competitiveness and back-stabbing among employees. Advantages of such plans include unlimited Compensation, increased motivation of employees, flexibility, increased productivity and better retention of workers. Some cons for the two incentive-based philosophies include possible control of employee behavior through seduction, destruction of good working relationships, undermining collaboration and teamwork as well as reducing the spirit of risk taking, creativity and innovation.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
