3 b) SWOT analysis SWOT Analysis Strengths MacVille has a good customer service reputation and strong service.The installations, after sale service, complaint handling all get top marks from customers. MacVille has strong marketing and sale with an excellent marketing communications and promotions mix. Particularly with the social marketing that MacVille has introduced in the past year. Strong internal controls in accounting and finance based on the state of the art MIS which allowed for sound corperate planning, along with strong internal controls in accounting and finance. Customer services is well organized guaranteeing excellent customer service call within 24 hours which is the key to increasing sales. Weaknesses The delivery times are sometimes delayed because proper procedure was not followed. Inbound logistics always has issues and challenges. Outbound logistics- sometimes there is delay in appropriate vehicle to deliver the espresso coffee machine and this causes some issues with customers. Lack of experienced personnel in importation and customer service operation. Opportunities Market penetration could easily be achieved and share costs of advertising and service. It could be shared via the development of strategic alliances with coffee been suppliers. MacVille able to expand market activity through social media and internet. MacVille has opportunity to increase new market promotional activities where bulk of espresso machines are sold each year and from which a major competitor has withdrawn.
