What is a risk matrix, likelihood of an event and severity of an event, and the descriptions of the two types of events? A risk matrix is used to evaluate risk in industry or in the business world. It’s without a doubt the tool for safety standard in evaluating risks. This matrix is characterized by “probability” and “severity” to determine a safety situation involving an event.
