VARIABLES WITHIN AN ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE Most workplace conflicts are caused by the individuals who are unable to compromise, accommodate, avoid and forgive each other. Thus, creating relationships conflicts, however not all conflicts management strategies should be the same, the reason being institutional conflicts differs as per institution, and the resolution policies differ as well. VARIABLES WITHIN AN ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE- CONT.’ Criticism- Is when someone attacks another person character. When someone is criticized, automatically another horsemen is invited, and that is defensiveness. DefensivenessThis is the way in which a person protects oneself from a perceived or real attack. Therefore, behavioral patterns can escalate and prevent the problem from being solved .
CONFLICT STYLESConflict Styles- that are used to resolve conflicts are:Obliging/Accommodating CollaboratingCompromising Dominating/Competing Avoiding
CONFLICT STYLES-CONT.’Collaborating: This style demands to be the most effective conflict styles. It helps with the solution for problems and the improving of relationships. The reason this style is recommended is because when both parties compromise they become satisfied and supportive of the solution.
