Justin Ickes ISS 225 Section 004 11/29/2007 RDC Tutor Final Reflection at the Refugee Development Center From my experiences at the Refugee Development Center (RDC for short) I have learned a great number of things about myself and the lives of other people that I value very much. The first thing that I have learned throughout this semester is the importance of giving what you can; whether it is money, products, services, or time. Through my experiences at the RDC, and participating in lecture during class, I have learned how many people that there are in need in this country, and in other countries around the world. Every little bit can help, and the end result is a fulfilling experience of knowing that you helped someone else, and a sense of accomplishment. This leads me to the next lesson that I learned which is that every person is different, and requires different learning techniques in order to achieve success. During the course of the semester I met many people from various backgrounds, races, and ethnicities that needed help with making a new life in America. The best part was that they all learned in different ways.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
