Current Events Overview PaperRaymond ClarkeSaint Leo UniversityHuman Ecology SCI-120SC-OL01Professor Lee Ott, Ph.D.Aug 7, 2019Current Events Overview PaperAfter analyzing and evaluating six Human Ecology Current Events Articles, below I will present an overarching overview of all the articles I have evaluated. I will also explore what areas that can be modified in our ecosystem to avoid potential problems, or needed actions that could create a more sustainable human-nature relationship. What's I have learned conducting my research, is that we have a fragile planet that is withstanding constant assault and abuse by humans, although we need a healthy planet, environment and ecosystem for our survival. My first research:"Habitat loss connected to the global emergence of infectious diseases", conducted by a group of researchers from Auburn University, who underlined principle needed for new scientific studies to investigate the association of habitat loss and the global emergence of infectious diseases. I've been aware of the roles trees play concerning globalwarming, what I didn't know was deforestation can create ecosystems disturbance and imbalancewhich lead to the infectious disease once contained within a forest to be released in their surrounding environment. Worse, that virus leaves its forested region and travel in humans across1
