HR planning is the planning and assessment of the future supply and demand for human resources to eliminate the gaps between supply and demand. HR planning also requires constantly periodic readjustment as the labour market conditions can change from time to time. Some of the factors of HR planning includes the analysis of the types of people employed and the tasks they will perform, availability of skilled labour, succession for executive staffs, readjusting and compliance to government policies and regulations, hiring of disabled and veterans, and providing equal employment opportunity. The 4 stages of HR planning are Situation analysis, Forecasting demands, Develop action plans, and Analysis of HR supply. 2. List the six steps in the job analysis process.
