In the experiment performed 5 different dilutions of CuSO45H2O were put through a UV-VIS spectrometer to measure the absorbance of each solution. Using Beer’s law and Spectroscopy we were able to see the concentration amount of the dilutions, of water, and of an unknown dilution. IntroductionThe absorbing of photons, along with the behavior of electrons within the molecules, and ions with the use of the UV-VIS spectrometer give a reason and proof for the guess of the unknown solution. After getting the results from the dilutions taken from our first mixture we were able to see which solution most likely the unknown solution was closest to.
