1.There many conflicts that happen inTsotsi. One of the first conflicts begins at the start of the movie when Tsotsi, Boston, Aap, and Butcher are rolling the dice in a game. Butcher rolls a 4 and a 5 and says he has eleven. Boston corrects him saying that 4 and 5 make 9 not eleven. This is a conflict between someone who knows math compared to one who knows nothing. Another conflict occurs as Tsotsi is walking in the subway and accidentally bumps into Morris, a homeless man on a wheelchair, who rudely cusses Tsotsi out. Tsotsi didn’t like they way Morris talked to him and follows him. As the two are met under the bridge alone, Tsotsi knocks Morris’s tin can full of change out of his hand. Morris is terrified and quickly apologizes and offers him the money. Knowing Tsotsi’s past, Tsotsi can really end his life. For some reason, Tsotsi changes his mind about hurting this man and decides to listen to Morris and why he’s in a wheelchair. As they are speaking, Tsotsi brings up another conflict of his past when his mother was sick. He was in the room with his dog and sick mother who was laying in bed. His drunk-abusive father walked in and scolded him to leave because his mother was sick. He then ran out and witnessed his dog pleading for help because Tsotsi father had kicked him.
