Case Notes:
SPDL's Day Links Services include SPDL's own transport service and the City of Port Phillips (CoPP) bus service.
CoPP bus service is an arrangment with the CoPP to transport a group of people with disabilities to the local swimming pools and medical clinics. The council
provides four vehicles, while SPDL provides the volunteer drivers and driver rostering.
The Companion Programs cover PetMates, GardenMates and WalkMates. They are relatively new services and SPDL is yet to set up a proper system to record
data related to these services.
When phone calls come in, the volunteer receptionist will generally take the calls and record the information into the booking system. If there is a need,
transport coordinators, the Volunteer Program Coordinator and GM will also assist. SPDL doesn’t have a record of how many calls they have received per
day/shifts/monthly.
During the interview, both transport coordinators and the volunteer program coordinator mentioned there were many phone calls from their clients wanting
to change their bookings due to various reasons. SPDL doesn't have a record of how many times clients have changed their bookings.
