Religious innovations in India between 1500 and 480 BCE brought about the rise of Hinduism and Buddhism. Describe how the two religions are similar, as well as how they differ from one another. Hinduism and Buddhism religion had many similarities and differences. Both religions played a major role in India between 1500 and 480 BCE. During this time frame, Buddhism and Hinduism was both started in India and is now known as the ancient religion of all times. One similarity between Buddhism and Hinduism is their strong belief in reincarnation. This is a never-ending cycle of births and deaths that must be broken. Both religions practiced non-attachment because they believe desire can lead to suffering. These desires included people, places, things and even ideas. Buddhism and Hinduism believe in multiple gods and spiritual practices. They also believe in several heavens and hells. Some differences between Buddhism and Hinduism is they type of gods they believe in. Buddhism is founded by Buddha, while Hinduism is not founded by any person.
