Course Description and ContextThis reading and writing course will teach students to analyze literary (fiction and nonfiction) texts inthoughtful, well-organized, and grammatically-correct essays.The course will concentrate on theelements of literature and literary devices (characterization, plot, figurative language, connotation, etc.) oftwo or more literary genres (essays and short fiction, poetry, or drama).It will also introduce methods ofplanning, drafting and editing essays.2.
