GOOGLE’S DEVELOPMENT OF ALPHABET INC.2IntroductionIn 2015, Google announced that it was restructuring to become a division of AlphabetInc.; a company that would contribute to its long-term objectives in innovation (Hern, 2015).Alphabet would oversee business operations of Google’s subsidiaries. To achieve developmentunder the new business structure, Alphabet Inc. needs a strategic plan that will ensuresustainability under the new business structure. The strategic plan has to promote the need toinnovate and foster corporate social responsibility. This paper will present a strategic plan thatprovides recommendations for the company’s long-term objectives through active management.Mission, vision and value statementsGoogle’s mission statement is to “organize the world’s information and make ituniversally accessible and useful” (Thompson, 2019). The company has always maintainedspecific standards and algorithms to maintain active order in providing information. Thestatement illustrates the company’s ambition to provide usefulness to its users. Google’s visionstatement is to “provide access to the world’s information in one click” (Thompson, 2019). Theprimary business operations of Google are based on the vision statement. Google providesinformation services to people across the world with one click. Therefore, together with itsmission and vision statements, it implies that it seeks to attain information or internet technologydominance.The company’s value statement is based on their commitment to making an impact onpeople’s lives ("Our commitments | Google", n.d.). Google maintains value through itscommitment to sustainability, diversity, and inclusion. Aside from that Google has ten corevalues; focusing on users, building exceptional services, proper utilisation of time, democracy,mobility, adherence to guiding principles, improving accessibility, promoting worldwide

The values arean illustration of Google’s brand image because they affect all stakeholders.SWOT AnalysisThe reconstruction in the organisation structure has strengths, weaknesses, opportunities,and threats. The reconstruction has presented advantages in financial stability, leading marketposition, and focus on innovation (Pratab, 2019). Alphabet and Google have high net revenueswhich can be used to finance innovation programs. Besides, Google has a strong brand imagethat gives it a leading market position thus maintaining their influence in the global market.Google’s foundation was based on innovation, and they continue to foster creativity, thusimproving its core competencies.
