Many text books point to Bruno’s execution as being related to science. These false claims can be explained by looking whether Bruno was charged for believing in heliocentrism and if the Roman Catholic Church considered heliocentrism as heresy.Bruno was a Roman catholic priest, but he also followed pantheism. He also tried to create a cult of sun worshippers. He denied the Trinity, Christ deity, and the virgin birth, but held up his pagan views. These are all acts of heresy, which brings me to my next point.
