Liddy Siggia 10/3/2019 1.) During my middle school years Juneteenth was talked about every year during all classes and was celebrated for the African Americans being freed from slavery. During my high school years, however, the only time that Juneteenth was ever mentioned was during my American History class, and was only mentioned briefly. 2.) What it means to be a free American in my own personal opinion is having all of the constitutional right, and also being allowed as a country to fix those right if they are deemed to be unjust. Having a good justice system and having the freedom to choose to do whatever you want with your life (as long as it doesn’t hurt or harm others) and having respect from others for it.
