Liddy Siggia Professor Mink Met Museum 10/24/2019 The title of this piece is called The Wheat Field with Cypresses by Vincent Van Gogh made in 1889, which can be found in the Metropolitan in the Gallery 882. The medium that Van Gogh used to create this piece was with oil and a canvas. The colors that the artist used to depict the sky is a wide range of pastel like blues, and with the many colors in the sky it makes the painting shown what looks to be a cloudy day over the wheat field. Using the dark green trees and darker yellow for the wheat also make the painting in more of a serious, dark tone, referring to what was stated earlier as being a cloudy day. The brush strokes used in the oil painting show that once again the weather was stormy because the leaves are all over the place and not just settled hanging down. Seen next to the wheat field is what looks to be a peat bog. I believe that it is a peat bog because there is a small color of blue going down the line of the corner of the piece while also showing other colors Liddy Siggia

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
