The focus is on a positivedisplacement gear pump and a non-positive displacement centrifugal pump.Procedure:For the gear pump, measure the width, diameter of the bore of the gear chamber, andlength between both gear chambers. For the vane pump, measure the width of the rotor, shortdistance, and long-distance across the bore. For the piston pump, measurer the diameter of thepiston, the length of stroke, and count the number of pistons.Conclusion/Recommendation:Flow rate is important in order to carry out a task properly and safely. Accuratemeasurements must be taken to assure the work is efficient.Real-World Application:Different tasks require different types of pumps. Industries must acquire the relevant
