Photosynthesis Lab The photosynthesis lab was a two-part activity lab. In the first part of the lab, we discovered at what wavelength is most efficient for the process of photosynthesis. We used five small beakers and labeled them red, green, blue, dark, and white. We poured sodium bicarbonate into each of the beakers. Then we put ten aspirated spinach disks into each of the five beakers. We started the timer at zero and recorded the leaves every five minutes up to thirty minutes. On the graph, we recorded how many leaves were floating. By doing the experiment I learned that the darker wavelengths slowed down photosynthesis because the plant doesn’t get enough light. The white light allows photosynthesis to occur a lot better because white is all visible light. It allowed the leaves to absorb the light better. Then for the second part of the lab, we determined different metabolic poisons on the motility in Chlamydomonas. We labeled three tubes, as
