DEVELOPMENT CONCEPTS AND STRATEGY The Development Concepts is a strategic land use that guides development over the next 40-50 year. Reviewed every ten years, the Development Concept ensures that there is sufficient land to meet long-term population and economic growth needs while providing a good quality living environment for our people. Given the constraints of our small land area, the Development Concept has played vital role in helping us balance our many land use needs, such as housing, commercial, industry, parks and recreation, transport, and community facilities. In reviewing the Development Concept, we take into account all major land needs in collaboration with the relevant government agencies. 5.1 Alternative 1 –Green Walkable Concept 5.1.1 Design Concept This concept is typically moderately dense, includes a range of uses and it designed for people. It has green element, including a network of green spaces and corridors, street trees, and significant private landscaping including possibly green roofs. Buildings have excellent environmental performance. 5.1.2 Goals The goals is providing a green areas in the residential, commercial and industry like being in the jungle to achieve a comfortable life.
