Conner 1 Maralina N Conner Professor Pahls BU 333 October 29, 2019 Final 1. Social media has changed the way companies are able to collect customer satisfaction. What sort of implications does this have for data collection? Does this innovation in understand- ing customers impact analytics techniques more than others? Social media, such as YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter, are changing how people build share information, relationships, and make the decisions in everyday lives. It has brought a whole new approach to marketing to the world of business. One of the best reasons for a company to do marketing through social media is that the customers are spending time on these websites. Therefore, the targeted consumers will be more receptive to the messages when marketing through social media. It assists in targeting and retargeting ideal consumers. Also social media marketing is cost-efficient compared to traditional marketing. The social networking Web site allows users to create personal profiles with information such as their educational background, hometowns, work, favorite things, and religious affiliation. It uses that power to assist other companies in targeting audiences with personalized messages. The social media has created a platform where customers can discuss the product and vendor also grabs opportunity to spread its brand awareness. The social networking Web site fulfills the customer as well as seller's desire to communicate and interact with each other. Companies use social networking power to help other companies target audiences with personalized messages. 2. How can analytics be applied to business operations? What kinds of data would need to be collected for these applications?

Conner 2 Business Analytics (BA) refers to all the methods and techniques that are used by an organization to measure performance. Business analytics are made up of statistical purposes that can be applied to a specific project, process or product. Business analytics can also be used to evaluate an entire company. Business analytics are performed to identify weaknesses in existing processes and highlight meaningful data that will help an organization prepare for future growth and challenges.
