A nursing portfolio is an opportunity for a potential employee to get a look at your professional career. It is information that can consist of data from the first day of nursing school until your present day. Professionals can create an ePortfolio or an actual portfolio collected as a hard copy during interviews. The advantage of an ePortfolio is that employees can search your name online and find detailed information about your professional career. In today's time, it is effortless to find out a lot about a person with just the click of a mouse (Hannnans & Olivo, 2017). Some items to include in a portfolio are certifications, diplomas, professional memberships, certifications, copies of transcripts, and professional letters of recommendation (Clarke University, 2006-2019). A professional portfolio is not a resume but is evidence that you have to show the skills you have documented on your resume. It’s like the proof in the pudding(Dennison, 2007).
