Closing ArgumentLadies and gentlemen of the jury, good morning. In this case that the plaintiff has presented you, there is inadequate evidence to convict. My defendant did not cause the stress that Ms. Robert’s testified to. He did not sexually harass Ms. Roberts! Therefore, we ask for a verdict of not guilty.The plaintiff attempted to place the stress caused to Ms. Roberts on our defendant through the testimony of their own witnesses. The plaintiff argued that their expert witness, who has spent only exactly two hours speaking to Ms. Roberts about the alleged harassment, possesses the knowledge to form an opinion on Mr. Murphy, without ever even speaking to him,or anyone else in the office. With their next witness, they hoped to pick at Mr. Murphy’s character through one of his co-workers, but the only thing they achieved is showing the major personality differences between my client and Ms. Roberts, while also speaking of Ms. Roberts distant nature towards men. Lastly, Mr. Murphy was accused of sexually harassing Ms. Roberts,while the only thing he is truly guilty of being a man. Ms. Roberts has had problems socializing
