2 Purpose of the Participant Handbook “Knowledge carefully recorded is knowledge available in time of need” (Elder Richard G. Scott, “Acquiring Spiritual Knowledge,” Ensign, Nov. 1993, 88). T his handbook gives you a way to record and remember special experi- ences from FSY. Keep this handbook with you throughout the week. Write your name in it. Use it to note personal experiences. It can become a keepsake of your FSY memories. Here are some suggestions for using this handbook: • Record important things you learn from your teachers and counselors and especially what the Spirit teaches you. Write down your goals, your feelings, and your testimony of the gospel. During class, jot down notes on concepts you would like to remember and questions you would like answered. • Record contact information for your new friends, counselors, teachers, and session-directing couple. Many of the lessons taught by the session-directing couple, teachers, and counselors will be based on information in this handbook. It can also be a great teaching and learning resource to refer to in the future.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
