Instructions for Earning Extra Credit for Completing a Research Article Summary IMPORTANT - This assignment is 2 of 2 options for extra credit in this course. Students can earn up to five (5) points on their final overall average for the course if they complete this assignment (e.g., if you have an average of 90 in the course, doing this extra credit can potentially raise your grade to a 95). Students must choose ONLY ONE extra credit assignment. If you complete both assignments, you will only receive credit for one. To earn up to 5 extra credit points toward final grade in this course, students must: 1. Choose a recently published research article related to child development and learning and write a 1-2 page summary of the article. a. The research article: 1) must come from a peer-reviewed journal and 2) must be published on or after the year 2000. b. I recommend you choose a topic that is of most interest to you. You may use the power point slides to find topics.
