DAT 560M Big Data and Cloud Computing Fall 2019 (Prerequisite: DAT 560G) Updated 10/11/2019 WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY IN ST. LOUIS OLIN BUSINESS SCHOOL COURSE OBJECTIVES An introduction to storage, retrieval, analyses, and display of data sets so large and complex that traditional data processing and analysis applications cannot readily be used. Topics include big data management, data architecture of hosting big data, big data retrieval languages, parallel computing methods, big data analytical methods, and data visualization. Understand the global opportunities and challenges facing businesses. 3. Engage with business issues through the application of experiential knowledge, in addition to the rigorous technical skills acquired in the classroom. 4.
