When Is It Okay To Call For Emergency Medical Transport? A lot can happen in one minute. You could save a life by dialing just one phone call. Now more than ever, emergency medical transport is readily available and cover almost all regions regardless of the proximity to a hospital setting. However, as the term suggests, this type of transportation is dedicated to medical emergencies. In what incidences are you supposed to call in for urgent medical transport to the emergency room? Your patient has a life-threatening condition Signs that a condition could be life-threatening include difficulty breathing, a heart attack, unconsciousness, severe bleeding, deep lacerations, severe burns, bad accidental injuries, and severe allergic reactions. In short, if you feel that a condition could be fatal or life-threatening, call for urgent transport to the hospital for medical attention.
