He is a professor of planetary astronomy in Pasadena, California 3. I do believe this journal is a reliable source of scientific information. The journal comes from the American Institute of Physics, which members include the American Astronomical Society, American Meteorological Society, and many others. 4. The Kuiper Belt is a region in the solar system located beyond the orbit of Neptune, and is believed to contain comets, asteroids, and other bodies made mostly of ice. 5. Sedna’s orbit is strange because it takes a long time, about 10,000 Earth years to complete. Other objects in the Kuiper Belt also have eccentric orbits 6. Eliminating a potential explanation means totally getting rid of an explanation and making a new one, while casting doubt on an explanation just points out a flaw or flaws in an explanation.
