Gender and Education Recent decades have been characterized with a shift in policy discussion with respect to culture, education and locality. One of the concerns has been on factors that inform different social developments. However, this is not the only concerns. Through a detailed exploration of how culture impacts both personal and social development with respect to education and location, the paper seeks to trace and discuss how the move from Mongolia to Inner Mongolia had different impacts Through a one on one interview with my father Chan, I focused on tracing cultural differences and the factors that necessitated the differences. Factors such as migration, political geography were identified to have contributed to the differences. The initial question was what is his origin with respect to his fore fathers lived? What are some of the identifiable differences? How does the difference in culture impact social development? The interview was conducted in a work station where Chan manages his farm for two hours. I recorded the interview using a sound recorder on my phone. During the interview, there emerged different issues on the topic such as conflict that led to a twist in the interview. My close relationship with my father made him feel comfortable to share information concerning the topic of discussion. This made the interview smooth which also made me gain fascinating insights into the discussion. Chan’s openness to share information on his personal life, enhanced me to perfectly compare and contrast his experiences and my experiences which added value to discussion. Despite the smooth discussion, the main challenge was to maintain objectivity attributed to the conflict experiences. Maintaining the objective of the discussion was important to ensure the

success of the discussion. I achieved this through patience and maintaining harmony in the discussions and record information as it is.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
