In the contemporary world for one to be considered as a sustainable leader, one should not only pay attention to the organization’s goals mainly driven by returns but should also consider the society and the employees. This involves the social, economic and environmental factors. Since the world is characterized by different changes, resolutions to protect the environment should be embarked on with new innovative strategies and attitude. The ever decline in the available resources, pollution of the environment, and inequalities in the social sphere are evident in most countries. This confirms that activities should be oriented towards realizing effective social goals. Sustainable development is inevitable in the contemporary organizations Global Challenges A healthy and flexible association between leaders and their subordinates is important in the workplace. Human life transformation has been attributed to globalization, change in demographics and technology development. Therefore, for any organization to maintain a competitive reputation, it ought to establish loyalty between its leaders and employees. When there is a coherent relationship between the manager and the employees, the employees’ behaviour is influenced to some extent. This subsequently results in increasing their commitment to the organization hence positive results in the long run. This relationship can be created through spending time together and employees’ inclusion in decision-making procedures and

One cannot be regarded as a competent leader without influencing and guiding employees toward in line with the company’s already established goals. Technology has always had a vital impact in the social-cultural, economic and global policies. Technology can be regarded to shape the global system through conforming to the new developments; for example; it is inevitable to run a company without a computer (Chuang, 2013). Some of the advantages of technological advancement are that it saves money and time. The nature of doing business has largely been influenced by technology. Today online learning has become a norm and has also been embraced by most institutions. There is also the emergence of virtual organizations as a result of technological advancement (Chuang, 2013). However, these advancements are also attributed to various challenges in organizations. Traditional leadership skills have been regarded as useless since they are not used. They are not of help since they don't offer managers with the ability to lead and guide employers as they work in different localities. This calls for managers to embrace cross-cultural management skills to effectively
