American History X Movie Outline American History X Movie Outline Introduction The movie was set in California, Los Angeles in 1998, with some proposal from the New Line. The film emphasized racism and a clear presentation of hatred. This is from the perspective of the former neo-Nazi skinhead, who is in despair to put his past behind him and defend his brother from using the same route. This movie is also about redemption as it focuses on the idea as Danny Vinyard says that hatred is destructive no matter where it originates from or whoever it aims at, but at the end, it does not provide any appropriate solution to the problem. The movie was directed by Tony Kaye and written by David McKenna. The main characters were Derek Vinyard, Danny Vinyard, Edward Norton, and Edward Furlong though there were also many minor characters. In this analysis of the American History X movie, I will discuss the culture that resulted in hate, racism, and discrimination. Culture is the understanding of human knowledge, behavior believes, and attitudes, which in this case is the cause of violence and unrest.
