Pena 1John Calvin, born in 1509, was a French Protestant theologian. He wrote the famous book Institutes of the Christian Religion. In his book, John Calvin teaches about sovereignty and predestination. His book caused controversy because of the unpredictability of knowing our finalsalvation.According to the book, John Calvin: The Organiser of Reformed Protestantism, Williston Walker states that John Calvin’s theology of God and sovereignty is that “his sovereignty extendsover all persons and events from eternity to eternity. His will is the ground of all that exists.” (Walker 409-410). This theological idea of God’s sovereignty is flawed for the reason that God’s sovereignty does not override our free will. Pastor John says that “No power outside of man himself has ultimate or decisive control over what a man chooses.
