DEFINING STANDARD PROJECTS AT GLOBAL GREEN BOOKS PUBLISHING.1.Initially, the traditional way of printing books followed a standardized procedure based on the contents of the course which the lecturer would use to teach. However, the eBooksfollow a different method of production through customization which makes them uniqueand different from other set of books. According to the case study every book is customized for its course and as per the needs of the professor teaching the course even though the contents of the syllabus are the same. They may choose different layouts and cover designs which meant that each book will have unique production steps, reprint approvals and extensive desktop publishing. All these features give the eBooks different and features and a different identity which proves that they cannot be produced like the standard textbooks. As per the article, these details are done according to the professor’s needs and these constant changes that are done give the eBooks uniqueness without which all of them would have the same standard and details thus they would not stand outas being customized. If the content would be constant for more than one semester then the eBook would only need to be created once. This also shows that the eBooks have a limited duration of one semester after which it is altered to match the needs of another professor thus proving to be a project. 2.The stakeholders in a project are the people who either have interest in the project whereby they are influenced by it or own stake in the project. In this project, students, professors and the colleges are the stakeholders. The students are directly affected by the project thus they are the main stakeholders as they use the eBooks to study. If the books are easy to read and understand then they will have a positive effect to them and if they are complicated, they will have a negative effect towards their studies as it will be hard
