Aboriginal Issues:CRITERIA LEVEL 1(50-59%)LEVEL 2(60-69%)LEVEL 3(70-79%)LEVEL 4(80-100%)COMPENSA-TIONThe governmentforces the abo-riginals to change their re-ligion and forcesthem to practiceour beliefs- The government forces them to work against their wills, and forces them to continue post-secondary schooling to move onto the workplaces. The governmentshows some re-spect to the na-tives living in Canada by let-ting them prac-tice their religionin their homes and at religious gatherings such as churches- butthe government doesn’t allow them to practiceit anywhere in a public area. They are still to get their high school diploma and after they are allowed to choose whether they want to drop out of post secondary as well, but still have to get a job.The governmentrespects the aboriginals and their beliefs and make accommo-dations for their religions and culture. They are allowed to speak about their heritage in public and are supported by the government in their beliefs. Itis strongly sug-gested that theyattend schoolingand get careers, but they respectthe decision thatthey make and mostly feels as though it is theirown personal choice to do what they want in life. The governmentcompensates their culture, re-ligion and beliefsand promotes usCanadian citi-zens to treat them as we would do with regular people.
