Required Texts: Managers and the Legal Environment, Author Bagley, 7 th edition ISBN: 13 978-1-133-56220-7 You may use newer editions if you aren t able to find this edition, but they will likely be more expensive. If you are using Cengage texts in other classes, you can get also get the newest edition of this book from the Cengage Unlimited Subscription , which is an economical option. Course Description: The focus of this course is on all areas of law that managers would need to know in modern business. This course will enable managers to develop a general knowledge of all key areas of the regulatory environment facing business, including constitutional basis, statutory basis (including UCC) for the regulation of business. The student will also be introduced to human resource law and the various employment discrimination topics. In addition, the student will be exposed to corporate governance, ownership and securities regulation.
