Required Texts: Wes t’s Business Law, 12 th Edition by Clarkson, Miller, and Cross. West Publishing Company. There should be plenty of used editions available. If you prefer to use an ebook or Kindle version, that is acceptable. The 12 th edition is the cheapest edition, it is usually about $15 on Chegg. If you can t find the 12 th edition, you can also use the 13 th or 14 th editions. While there will be more of these newer editions available, they may cost more. If you are using Cengage texts in other classes, you can get also get this book (the 14 th edition) from the Cengage Unlimited Subscription , which is another economical option. Don t buy a new book (it is nearly $400). There are plenty of affordable options out there. BUY YOUR BOOK as quickly as possible. The cheap editions will be purchased quickly by your classmates, leaving only the more expensive versions available. Additionally, we will move quickly though the material, so if you don t get your book until the second or third week of class, you will be significantly behind. Course Description: The focus of this course is on areas of modern commercial law needed by business professionals to conduct business transactions, primarily the buying and selling of goods and services. Common law contracts and negotiation strategies are presented.
