ASSIGNMENT 1: DISCUSSION—WHISTLEBLOWER PROTECTIONS 2 Assignment 1: Discussion—Whistleblower Protections Whistleblowing is a term that describes a situation in which an existing or a former employee of a company decides to reveal unethical activities being conducted within an organization. The unethical activity can be in the form of corruption, fraud, and violation of organizational policies and rules. In most cases, whistleblowing is intended to protect the society interest including the public ( Lavena, 2016). This paper provides a comprehensive description of a published whistleblower case. The description includes the issue reported, the steps taken when the alleged wrongdoing was reported, describes the laws that protected the whistleblower and the outcome of the situation.
