MARGINALIZED GROUP CAREER COUNSELLING 2 Population Explanation The population chosen for this paper is individuals living with disabilities. As per the federal laws, individuals with disabilities are stated to have either mental or physical impairments (Blustein et al 2017). This may include persons with limitation of activities, restriction in their participation, mental and physical impairment. Anyone with such weaknesses is classified under the disability group. Clear definitions of the persons with disability are mainly deduced from their compromised interaction with the environment due to their impairments. These impairments affect an individual directly and influence their interactions with the daily activities in their environments. The persons living in this state are unable to move around swiftly and contribute to activities that result in the economic growth of a given country. Statistics on the Group Most researches and studies shows that individuals with disabilities are the most marginalized group not only in the United States but also worldwide. The marginalization of these groups of people is characterized by poor educational achievements, very low economic participation as well as poor health outcomes among others (Kahn, et al 2018). Consequently, persons with disability are deduced from the poorest in any given society than other populations. The marginalization of the group of individuals with disabilities has been making headlines in the United States New papers and the rest of the world thus calling for the immediate reaction by human right organizations.
