Kashtubh Ramlu 10/23/2017 Group Member: Marisue 3 rd period Title: Lactic Acid Fermentation Problem: What causes the burn in your muscles while working out? Background: Lactic Acid fermentation is very important because it creates 2 ATP and lactic acid, in the absence oxygen. It is a part of Anaerobic Respiration. It has only one reactants, which is Glucose. The process is carried out in the Cytoplasm. Animals (meaning us) are the only organisms that use this process. This is so special that it has its own equation – C 6 H 12 O 6 => Latic Acid + 2 ATP. Hypothesis: The burn in the muscles while working occurs from Friction Materials: Timer Clothespin Variables and Constants: The dependent variable was the number squeeze. The independent variable was the time on the timer. We had two constants, which was: It was the same pin The same person was doing the pressing of the pin. Procedures: Here are the things we did during the lab: Firstly, we received a clothespin Next, we decided the person who was going to time.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
